    RISK Women in Business

    Co-Founder | RISK Women in Business | Jan 2023 – Jul 2025

Improving female representation in business communities and build a structured network with mentoring and industry access.

    Origin

I remember how a friend kept trying to convince me to join RISK, KIT's finance club. At that time, there were no other women in the club of 25 students, and it took me a while to eventually join. This experience made me question how I could change the environment to make it more welcoming. KIT has always been a technical university with a low percentage of women and sitting in a tutorial of eleven people as the only female student was normal. I met Annika at one of our events, and convinced her to start Women in Business together. This was not only the start of the first female business network at KIT, but also the beginning of a wonderful friendship.
